On March 5th, Liu Jian, President of Liaoning Petrochemical University, met with a visiting delegation from the University of Huddersfield, UK, led by Professor Leigh Fleming, Dean of its School of Computing and Engineering, and Professor Rupak Kharel, Associate Dean, at the Student Activity Center. Both sides held in-depth discussions on deepening inter-university cooperation, expanding exchange fields and promoting industry-university-research integration. Representatives from the university’s International Exchange and Cooperation Center and relevant colleges attended the meeting.
Liu Jian extended a warm welcome and introduced the university’s characteristics, disciplinary advantages and international cooperation achievements. He noted the university’s 70-year focus on the petrochemical field and expressed hope for practical cooperation with the University of Huddersfield in joint laboratories and talent training.
Professor Leigh Fleming thanked the reception and introduced her university and college. After the meeting, both sides held in-depth consultations and reached consensus. The delegation also visited the university’s facilities and spoke highly of its running conditions and research strength.
