Taking the opportunity of 2026 Liaoning International Friendship Cities Conference held on June 10, a delegation led by Oleg Baulin, Rector of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University of the Russian Federation, and Moguchev Aleksandr, Vice Rector of the university, visited Liaoning Petrochemical University. Huo Qingsheng, Party Secretary of LNPU, and President Liu Jian held cordial talks with the guests. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on deepening pragmatic inter-university cooperation and implementing the arrangements of the 2026–2027 Year of China-Russia Education, and signed a new educational cooperation agreement, marking a brand-new stage of development in the nearly 30-year partnership between the two universities. Wang Jilin, Vice President of LNPU, together with heads of the School of International Education (International Office), School of Petrochemical Engineering, School of Information and Control Engineering, and School of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, attended the meeting.
Oleg Baulin and Moguchev Aleksandr conferred bachelor’s diplomas upon students from Sino-foreign cooperative education program who were awarded bachelor’s degrees by Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. They also presented certificates and prizes to outstanding students from the School of Information and Control Engineering, who won awards at the 8th International Olympiad on Fundamentals of Automation Control of Technical Systems hosted by Ufa State Petroleum Technological University in April 2026.
