On June 10, an expert delegation led by Dean Phillip Choi, Professor Zeng Fanhua and Professor Farshid Torabi from the University of Regina, Canada, paid a visit to Liaoning Petrochemical University. President Liu Jian met with the delegation. The two sides held in-depth consultations on core areas including talent cultivation, scientific research innovation and joint platform construction, reaching a number of cooperation consensuses. This visit has lent strong momentum to advancing international education and collaborative energy research between Chinese and Canadian universities. Heads from the School of International Education (International Office), the Research Affairs Division and the School of Petroleum and Gas Engineering attended the meeting.
The delegation also toured Engineering Training Center, Intelligent Manufacturing Center, Petroleum and Gas Engineering Laboratories and campus facilities. They spoke highly of the educational infrastructure, disciplinary development and research capacity.
