On the afternoon of November 15, the university held an online seminar on the coal chemistry laboratory with Karaganda Buketov University of Kazakhstan. Vice Rector Liu Haifeng and Vice Rector Zeynidinov of Karaganda Buketov University attended the seminar.
Dr. Shen Zhongjie from Vice Rector Liu Haifeng's "Low-Carbon Energy Chemical Engineering" team introduced the laboratory's research fields. The Kazakh side expressed interest in four research directions (syngas, hydrogen, fuel gas, and reducing gas) and hoped to focus on these areas for future cooperation.
After the seminar, the university discussed the establishment plan of the "International Coal Chemistry Laboratory" and initially determined key cooperation research areas.
