From November 9 to 10, the International Academic Seminar on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Technology 2024 was held at Liaoning Petrochemical University.
Co-hosted by the university, Liaoning Geophysical Society, and other institutions, the seminar adopted a combination of online and offline formats, with over 300 participants from more than 10 domestic and foreign universities (including the University of Calgary in Canada, the University of Edinburgh in the UK, and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University of Russia).
Vice Rector Liu Haifeng delivered an opening speech. Experts such as Academician Cheng Yufeng of the Royal Society of Canada gave keynote reports. 50 scholars delivered reports in parallel sessions, promoting the development of international CCUS technology.
