From October 22nd to 26th, the delegation led by Principal Qian Jianhua, were invited to pay a three-day visit to the University of Edinburgh and the Edinburgh Napier University. The delegation were warmly welcomed by Stephen Warrington, Dean of International Affairs at the School of Engineering of the University of Edinburgh, and Francesca Cotes, Project Leader for International Admissions and Cooperation. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on collegiate exchange programs, joint training programs for postgraduates and scientific research cooperation, deepening the all-round cooperation in education and scientific research. Naomi Graham, Vice President of Edinburgh Napier University, warmly welcomed LNPU delegation. Based on the previous 2+2/3+1 double degree programs, the two sides touched on joint training at the level of postgraduates and expanded the majors of undergraduate double degree programs.
The visit is one of the important strategies to actively promote international exchange and cooperation. Through in-depth cooperation with British universities, LNPU will surely provide faculty members and students with broader opportunities for international exchange, which will help improve the internationalization level and promote the continuous improvement of teaching quality and research capabilities.
